Chris Goward
A scientific marketer, business manager, and entrepreneur. With 10+ years experience in online, direct response, database, mass and integrated communication, and analytical chemistry, Chris brings a holistic perspective to business challenges, solving them with both creativity and method.
Chris utilizes an innovative approach to marketing that is highly integrated and focused on increasing return on investment. He is an advocate of delivering consistent brand experiences through all customer touch-points and making each of those brand experiences “wow” target audiences. He has been recognized with a Gold CMA award and as one of Marketing Magazine’s “Ones to Watch”.
Prior to co-founding WiderFunnel Marketing Inc., Chris developed integrated, online and direct response campaigns for MTS, Crystal Decisions, Business Objects, TELUS, Tourism British Columbia, BC Hydro, BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, Vancity and Citizens Bank while working for DDB, TBWA, Cossette Communications, and as an independent consultant. He also launched the Rockit Roller™ personal-powered scooter with investor backing in 2004.
Chris has a Diploma of Technology in Direct Response Marketing from British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Royal Roads University, majoring in Entrepreneurship. He is a past director on the board of the BC Direct Marketing Association and current President of the BCIT Marketing Program Advisory Committee.
