As Founder and past President of MarketingSherpa Inc, (a research firm specializing in tracking what works in all aspects of marketing and what does not), Holland published research studies such as annual Search Marketing and Email Marketing Benchmark Guides and the multi-million dollar bestselling Landing Page Handbook.
Holland has been a featured speaker (often keynote) at more than 100 industry conferences including Email Summit, Business-to-Business Lead Generation Summits, eTail shows, Affiliate Summit, Direct Marketing Association events, Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conferences, and Ad-Tech conferences (for which she is also a former Advisory Board Member). She has been quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, DMNews, Entrepreneur.com, Fast Company and Business 2.0 among others. Also, she has served as a Judge for the Viral Marketing Hall of Fame, the Ad-Tech Awards, the Electronic Retailing Association Awards, MarketingSherpa’s Email Awards, and the Interactive PR & Marketing Nettie Awards.
A 25-year marketing veteran, Holland’s past credentials include advising such brands as The Economist and Bacardi on online strategies. As past head of marketing for Phillips Business Information, a $100+ million media company (now Access Intelligence), Holland led the launch teams for some of the world’s first profitable subscription Web sites in the mid-1990s. Holland began her career as an award winning direct marketer working for such publications as The Oil Daily, Aviation Daily, Defense & Foreign Affairs, Satellite News, and Jane’s Publishing.
Holland is a graduate of Connecticut College in New London, Connecticut, and The Groton School in Groton Massachusetts. She splits her time between residences in the US and Croatia.
