You will work on building A/B and multivariate web site experiments from the wireframes and layout comps provided and setting up experiments in the Google Website Optimizer (GWO) testing platform. You will also have a chance to extend the functionality of the GWO tool with Javascript “hacks” that provide added value to the client projects.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Strong background in HTML, CSS, PHP and JavaScript
  • Able to quickly cut up a design comp into html, css and image files ready for uploading
  • Can generate new php/asp code and quickly modify existing scripting
  • Experience and proficiency in testing and debugging web pages for cross-browser and standards compliance /li>
  • 5+ years of web programming experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with exceptional organizational skills and a ‘never miss a deadline’ commitment
  • Always connected and available
  • Excellent English

Preferred:

  • Proficiency with Fireworks, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Notepad
  • An eye for design and interest to learn the types of design that persuades people to act online would be an asset
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering or CS or Design preferred, but ability trumps a degree
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, HBX, Omniture or other web analytics packages
  • Understanding of SEO coding best-practices

Training in Conversion Rate Optimization skills will be provided.
